About

was founded in 1995 by Arthur Weiss to help organisations understand their competitors, markets and changing business environment—and use that understanding to make better-informed decisions.

We provide tailored training, research and consulting in competitive and marketing intelligence. Our work ranges from developing intelligence skills and capabilities to investigating particular competitors, markets, opportunities and threats.

For more than 30 years, has worked with organisations in the UK and internationally, combining established intelligence methods with evolving information sources, technologies and analytical approaches.

Practical expertise—transferred to your organisation

We believe intelligence should lead to action. Finding information is only the beginning: organisations must be able to assess its reliability, understand its significance and communicate the resulting insight to decision-makers.

Becoming the best does not mean copying what competitors are doing today or did yesterday. It takes creativity and innovation—anticipating tomorrow’s trends before they become today’s normality and staying several steps ahead.

  • To outwit your competitors, you need to know what they are doing.
  • To outmanoeuvre them, you need to know where they are going.
  • To outflank them, you need to act on that intelligence—moving faster, making better decisions and staying ahead.

Our training is therefore practical, participative and tailored to each client. Courses and workshops can cover competitive and marketing intelligence, online research and OSINT, AI-assisted research, competitive analysis, scenario planning, war games and related disciplines.

Participants leave with methods and frameworks they can apply in their own roles, supported by free follow-up advice after the programme.

Research and consulting built around your needs

When clients need direct support, provides customised research, analysis and consulting focused on their particular business questions.

Rather than maintaining a large fixed research team, we draw upon an established international network of independent researchers, consultants and subject specialists. This allows us to assemble the right team for each assignment, according to its subject, scale, geography and language requirements.

For international projects, we work wherever possible with in-country specialists who understand the local language, culture, business practices and information environment. Their local knowledge helps uncover insights and interpret nuances that can easily be missed when research is conducted entirely from outside the target country.

Our network includes trusted associates and partner organisations across Europe, Australasia, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and beyond.

This flexible model allows us to bring together the right expertise, obtain independent perspectives and avoid unnecessary project overheads.
